Nelson, 78, of Harrisburg, formerly of Cofield, NC, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Blue Mtn Nursing Home, Harrisburg. Dick and Fleur retired to Vista, CA in 1997 where both lived out the remainder of their days. However, following a particularly brutal winter, they made the difficult decision to move to sunny California. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday Feb. 10th at 11:00 AM at St. Mel Church in Woodland Hills, California. Burial will be in the Sears Family Cemetery, Cofield, NC. Grandchildren Eva Estep, Caleb Edwards, Shelbi Holland, Leanna Edwards, great grandchildren Devon Hernandez, Micah Estep, Hunter Estep, Landen Holland, Emmett Holland, Ashton Edwards and his Aunt Louise Knight of Pasadena California, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Bob died at home with his family around him, thanks to the wonderful care provided by Hospice of the Valley. They have all the printed newspapers. Over her life, she traveled the world with family and friends, instilling her curiosity in her 8 grandchildren by taking each of them on a special trip. His first job was at the Butcher Shop Steakhouse in Chula Vista, he then worked several years for the DePhilippis family at their different Filippis restaurant locations, at the Escondido location is where he met his future wife and companion, Lynn Mozzani.
